Sunreef Yachts Eco reveals the first images of the Sunreef Zero Cat superyacht.
This 90-foot sailing catamaran, currently under development by the shipyard’s R&D department, will produce clean hydrogen on board to offer the most sustainable sailing experience. In addition, the Sunreef Zero Cat will benefit from a green energy boost thanks to solar cells integrated into the yacht’s bodywork.
The Sunreef Zero Cat will be equipped with a reformer that will transform methanol into clean hydrogen, thus generating zero net emissions, with no nitrogen oxides or sulphur oxides. Other known advantages of the Zero Cat are its low noise and vibration levels, as well as low maintenance. The system will also ensure the highest level of safety, as there will be no need to store high-pressure hydrogen on board.
