Sunreef Yachts, the current benchmark in the luxury and large catamaran sector, with the highest level of customization, significantly expands its production capacity with a new shipyard in Ras Al Khaimah. After solidifying its international reputation working from the two major shipyards in Gdansk, Poland, which together represent over 125,000 square meters of industrial space, Sunreef Yachts takes a new step with the construction of a new manufacturing plant in Ras Al Khaimah, located in the United Arab Emirates.  

  Occupying an area of 65,000 square meters, the new shipyard will incorporate the latest technology in the construction of luxury yachts and adhere to the highest standards of sustainability and energy efficiency. To achieve this, Sunreef Yachts and RAK Maritime City are currently collaborating in the development of the facility, which will offer a 360-degree approach to yacht manufacturing. It will include a modern paint shop, carpentry, upholstery, and stainless steel workshops, all equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and the latest robotics.  

 

Why Ras Al Khaimah?

Located as a significant crossroads between the West and the East, Ras Al Khaimah and the United Arab Emirates were the best strategic choice for the company, thanks to Ras Al Khaimah’s exceptional incentives, industry support, and easy access to key markets and transportation infrastructure. With this new base, Sunreef Yachts can continue its expansion in an environment that combines a perfect strategic location, skilled workforce, and a proactive mindset. The Ras Al Khaimah shipyard that we are developing works hand in hand with our local office in Dubai, employing a team of specialists from various fields.   It is noteworthy that this new shipyard will be crucial in Sunreef Yachts‘ global expansion strategy. Not only will it strengthen the company’s presence in the Middle East, but it will also establish closer ties with the Asian and Australian markets. From now on, with two production centers in Poland and a new factory in Ras Al Khaimah, Sunreef Yachts has an even more global reach for its range of sustainable catamarans. The first units produced in Ras Al Khaimah will be the ULTIMA hybrid catamarans, as well as motor yachts and sailboats ranging from 50 to 70 feet.
