We are pleased to present this 2022 Excess 15, a sailing catamaran that perfectly combines performance, comfort and contemporary design. Conceived for demanding owners, the Excess 15 breaks away from the traditional cruising catamaran concept, offering more dynamic sailing sensations while maintaining excellent comfort on board.
Designed by VPLP Design, with exterior styling by Patrick le Quément and interior design by Nauta Design, this model stands out for its modern lines, smart ergonomics and well-thought-out spaces, both for sailing and life on board.
Sailing and handling
The yacht features a generous and efficient sail plan, delivering excellent sailing performance and a very favorable sail-area-to-displacement ratio for a catamaran of this size. The twin aft helm stations, combined with Dyneema steering cables, provide precise and responsive handling, ensuring direct feedback at the helm. A catamaran designed for sailors who truly enjoy being under sail.
Comfort and life on board
The interior layout offers 5 guest cabins plus 2 crew cabins, with 3 bathrooms, making this Excess 15 ideal for both private ownership and high-end charter use. The interior is bright, well-ventilated and finished to a high standard, while the exterior areas — cockpit, foredeck sunbathing area and hydraulic bathing platform — are perfectly suited for relaxing at anchor and enjoying outdoor living.
The equipment list is particularly comprehensive, including air conditioning, generator, watermaker, hydraulic bathing platform, bow and stern thrusters, as well as advanced navigation electronics such as radar, AIS, autopilot and plotter.
Engines
Powered by twin Yanmar 4JH57 engines, each with approximately 850 hours, sail drive transmission and 3-blade propellers, offering reliability, good maneuverability and efficient fuel consumption.
